This is a new very high quality and very correct drag link repair kit. This is the way to save your original drag link. The drag link is the long rod that is in between the steering box and front steering rods. It is attached to the pitman arm on one end and the bell crank at the other. Both of these connection points are bad about wearing out the pivot balls and usually get replaced. The small internal parts in your drag link get worn just as bad. These are often overlooked in a restoration. This will take some excess play out of your steering linkage. QTMNOTE: The internals on this kit will fit the M38, M38A1, and M170 military jeeps but the end caps are shorter and a different style from the originals. In other words they will screw in past the point of installing the cotter pin.
